The CBC Massey Lectures this year are by Tanya Talaga (author of Seven Fallen Feathers). If you are interested in the experience of Indigenous People in Canada I think you’ll appreciate this series of lectures. She specifically mentions the community I am in (Poplar Hill).
Here is one link to the page on the CBC site: https://www.cbc.ca/radio/ideas/the-2018-cbc-massey-lectures-all-our-relations-finding-the-path-forward-1.4763007
Unless you’re a robot you will find these lectures challenging. Talaga “explores the legacy of cultural genocide against Indigenous peoples — in Canada and elsewhere”.
Personally I still haven’t gotten my head around the Indigenous experience. These things don’t happen in Canada, right?
May you be safe from harm, and free from cruelty and suffering.
